Kognic announces new hires to bolster senior leadership team.
Kognic, today announces the appointments of Przemek Sienkiewicz as Chief Revenue Officer, Steven Spieczny as Vice President of Marketing and Peter Sunna as Vice President of Product.
Kognic’s pioneering data platform empowers engineering and product teams to develop, test and deploy machine learning to quickly transform enterprises of all types into AI businesses. The explosion of AI-driven products requires an intelligent toolset to curate and manage complex datasets that integrate human and machine collaboration. Kognic’s solution is being utilized to develop Automated Driver Assist and Autonomous Driver systems known as ADAS/AS for such partners such as Qualcomm, Zenseact/Volvo Cars and other global Tier 1 and OEMs..
The new hires come as Kognic continues to demonstrate strong YoY revenue growth since its inception in 2018 and $31m raised in funding led by Metaplanet, positioning the business to meet increasing demand for performance-critical machine learning applications.
Przemek Sienkiewicz joins the business as Chief Revenue Officer, bringing 30 years of experience in the global technology and finance sectors, previously working with Lucent Technologies, Oracle, IBM and Google in Europe. Sienkiewicz will lead Kognic’s Go-To-Market team consisting of sales, marketing and professional services, including technical support and education to deliver commercial growth and improved market share for the business.
Steven Spieczny, Vice President of Marketing, will lead all brand, product and service marketing efforts for Kognic to further improve brand awareness and deliver SaaS-based customer experiences at scale. Steven brings a proven track record leading technology marketing, from both agency and client-side in the USA, Europe and APAC, and has successfully created and led global brands within complex markets. Previously, Steven managed efforts in the Nordics for Piano, a leading data platform and SaaS solution.
Peter Sunna is a seasoned executive product leader in PaaS & SaaS with 20 years of experience building successful product-led organizations in start-up and scale-up environments. Joining the business as Vice President of Product, Sunna will focus on delivering a product strategy that says no to feature races and creates great products that challenge established requirements in a market. Previously, Sunna led product organization at Contentful through a growth stage of $2m to $40m ARR. He also built the product organization at Frontastic, leading to an acquisition by commercetools, the leading commerce platform as recognised by Gartner and Forrester.
